About this course

This course focuses on the food-safety decisions convenience and retail staff make during a normal shift: date checks, chilled and hot displays, deliveries, loose food, PPDS labels, allergen questions, cleaning, pest signs, recalls and reporting problems.

What this course is

Independent workplace awareness training with an online assessment and certificate of completion. Food handlers must receive supervision, instruction and/or training appropriate to the work they do.

What this course is not

It is not an Ofqual-regulated qualification, not an accredited Level 2 or Level 3 qualification, not government-approved, and not a replacement for the business's own food-safety procedures, supervision or role-specific instruction.
